I made all my storyboards super rough because it is a work in progress and I will probably take out some items. I changed some of my original story concept from being a pop up store to being a new store that sells magical and non-magical items. It is the first time Lucky is opening his store on earth. I wanted to change it from being a temporary store because I like that they have more of an open-ended adventures with room to continue their story in the future.

When I was trying to think of how to shorten their story for this project. I thought the best way is for the characters to do a flashback summary from their point of view, then I can gradually fit in how they met which condenses the story to only their moment when they met, which is on Halloween.


Week 4-story spline

ACT1
I bet you’re all wondering how we got from this to this…
Let me sum it up, shall we
(Shows ollie narrating the slide)


Once upon a time…There was a Giant Cat.
Lucky: hey that’s me.

Ollie: he’s Not just any cat…he’s a cat that owns a family store.
Lucky: I want to make my family proud!



Ollie: And its his first Time opening on Earth.

Lucky: Wahhh I dont know what im doing!


Ollie: It wasn’t just any store, it was a Abracapotehcary store. He sells magical and non magic items.

Lucky: Beautiful! Ahh, opened for business!
(shows a shot of him looking at store from outside)

Ollie: Then there is me, Ollie. I moved to a different neighborhood and my parents wanted me to go to A different junior high than my friends. So I’m struggling trying too find new friends instead being the odd one
Out. Eating lunches alone. I had this brilliant idea to try to make new Friends at the halloween dance.


Ollie: Every day…I’m struggling to find a way to make friends and everyday,

Lucky: Everyday I was was trying to prepare For my store opening on Halloween.

Both: Until one day…
Ollie: I meet him on the way to my halloween dance because who knew from running super fast can make a person thirsty. I bought a soda from his store. It wasn’t just any soda, it was some “Poplular soda potion”.


ACT2

Ollie: Because of that…the portion I drank, everyone at the dance was all hypnotized by me
Because of that…I got freaked out and ran back to Lucky’s store and asked him for his help.
Because of that…lucky told me I can control the students


ACT3



Ollie: UNTIL FINALLY…I used the mind control to help sell some items for Lucky.
Lucky: Five boxes of alien headbands? I must have ordered 5 boxes by accident.

Ollie: He was able to sell some alien headbands which made Lucky super happy.

Lucky: yay..thankyou!



Ollie: And ever since then…I started working at Lucky’s store and learning about the amazing magical items and we became friends.

Both: Yay we’ are friends now.

Ollie: and I eventually also found friends at school, without using any popular potions.



The moral of the story is...
Ollie: I was so busy thinking about making friends until I stopped focusing on it, it allowed it to just happen naturally.

Lucky: I realized that he just needed some help from my new HOOMAN friend. Together, we both learn about each other’s planets and we both test out all the magical items at my store which helps me run my business better.


Ollie: … “thanks for shopping at Lucky’s apothecary, please come again.”
Both: Laugh
Lucky: yay, I can make my parents proud!
