Our cat witch Frida (F.R.I.D.A. - Fantastic Reclusive Idiosyncratic Daring Adventurist; more on this later as the story develops) continues practicing witchcraft unbeknownst to her hooman dads. She floats between rooms, phasing through walls, and occasionally communicates via astral projection with her warlock cat brother Fibo (or F.I.B.O. - FORTHRIGHT INQUISITIVE BOISTEROUS ORATOR). She does not want to be persecuted for being different and fears being abandoned, thrown out, and not being loved for being her true self.
Clarity: The focal point of this image is the cat witch Frida suspended in air, floating within a mystical vortex in the space above where her hooman poppas sleep in the wee hours of the night.
Perspective: Utilizing the elements of two-point perspective with a distorted composition, I hope to evoke a sense of wonder and a bit of mystery to the cat witch Frida in the middle ground. I purposefully worked on the details of the character to harness more attention on her. I simplified the original composition to include a triangle between the clock, the cat, and the bed to elicit a sense of tension within this frame.
Tone: I employed a liberal use of tones to recede certain elements towards the foreground and background while attempting to keep the focus on the middle ground detail of the cat witch Frida floating in the middle of the room above her parents.
Think Like a Camera: My intention in framing this scene with a top-down view is supposed to give a sense to the viewer that they are floating in space with our cat witch. I chose to experiment with framing, foreground objects as directional elements, contrast, and a few other ideas to convey the scene.
