Lucky's Abracapothecary Transcript:

ACT1

Ollie: I bet you’re all wondering how we got from this

Shows hypnotized people…

(to her working at his store)

Ollie: to this…(ssays on the intercom,)Thankyou for shoopping at Lucky’s Abracapothecary,


(Shows ollie narrating the slide)

Let me just begin our story here…(showing rewinding tape…)

Once upon a time…There was a Giant Cat.
Lucky: hey that’s me.

(Shows him preparing for his store opening…)

Ollie: he’s Not just any cat…he’s a cat that owns a family store.

Lucky: I want to make my family proud! (He pops up on the screen as it shows them in the backround)



Ollie: And its his first Time opening on Earth. …

Lucky: Wahhh I dont know what im doing!

Goes back to white board scene…

Ollie: It wasn’t just any store, it is a Abracapotehcary store. He sells magical and non magic items.

(Shows lucky int he backround sweeping up his store and looking at it….
Lucky: Beautiful! Ahh, opened for business!


Ollie: Then there is me, Ollie. I moved to a different neighborhood and my parents wanted me to go to
A different junior high than my friends. So I’m struggling trying too find new friends instead being the odd one
Out. Eating lunches alone. (Show a person playing violin near her and she is all confused)

Ollie: I had this brilliant idea to try to make new Friends at the halloween dance.

Ollie: Every day…I’m struggling to find a way to make friends and everyday,

Lucky: Everyday I was was trying to prepare For my store opening on Halloween.

Both: Until one day…
Ollie: I meet him on the way to my halloween dance ….

Lucky: this is how our story began….








ACT2-the hypnotized scene at the dance

Ollie enters his store…door opens slowly


Ollie: whoa, this isn’t like other pop up halloween shops

Ollie: ooh soda, perfect

(Dings service bell)

Lucky: ooh my first customer

Ollie: uh…

Lucky: i’m lucky, welcome ot my store, whats your name?

Ollie: uh..ollie (she places the soda at the counter)

Lucky: Nice to meet you. I see thatyou’re purchasing a popular soda potion. This is delicious.

Ollie: She opens it and starts dirnking it…(burps) excuse me.

Lucky; who you were thirsty!

Ollie: wow, your costume is amazing, how does your mouth even move?

Lucky: uh..(confused) like this? (Opens mouth and sticks out tongue)

Ollie: you’re almost like a giant cat!

Lucky: I am a cat. This planet is weird.

Ollie: im just nervous. Im still new at this school and I just want to make friends;
Lucky: ah it’s ok. Can I interest you with some headbands?
(Zooms into many boxes of alien headbands.)

Ollie: Uh ( she looks at it from a distant) I think im good.
Lucky: (sighs) I ordered too many of those, I dont know what to do with them.
Ollie: im sure someone will buy it sometime. Anyways, I gotta go to the dance.
Lucky: okay have a good day.

She leaves as the door is closing he remembers…

Lucky: Oh yeh the popular soda potion lasts for 24 hours. Have fun!

Ollie is already out of the store running down the hill to her school and hardly hears him in the distance.

Ollie: what did he say? Meh. ( runs to the school) Yay I made it. Just in time.


Hypnotised scene

She enters the gym…
Ollie: uh, hi im ollie.

(All the people ’s back were facing her then they turn around and their eyes are glowing.)
Hypnotized people: be our friend ollie.
Ollie: what is happening?
Hypnotized people: ollie let’s be friends.
Ollie: screams…
(They try to surround her)
Hypnotized people: where you going friend?
Ollie: (she tries to run away from the crowd) they are watching as she is trying to leave…

She finally is out of the gym
Hypnotized people: ollie? Ollie? Where is ollie?
(They see her running on the hill back to the store…)

Hypnotized people: ollie? Ollie? Where is ollie?


Ollie: (she is running back to the store)


ACT3
After she runs back to his store

Ollie: Lucky, help!

Lucky: oh yeh, it tried to tell you


ollie: …all the students at the dance are all being weird, they are following me and I don’t know why.

Lucky: oh yeh, I tried to tell you, the popular soda potion lasts for 24 hours. (He points to the sign that says it last for 24 hours)

ollie: what? Wait, what kind of store even is this?

Lucky: my store is called Lucky’s Abracapothecary. I sell magical and non magical items.

Ollie: how come you aren’t hypnotized?

Lucky: im wearing a magic talisman. It protects me from magic. (Shows his collar with a tailsman)

Door opens slowly
(The hynotized people enter the store..)

Ollie: ahhhh, they’re here
(She hides behind lucky)

The hypnotized people: there is ollie….

Lucky: ooh you brought me some customers!

(All the customers in the background saying ollie)


Lucky:have you tried telling them stop? They will do what you want…but not evil stuff. It’s against the witches code of conduct when they make the potions.

Ollie: no. it can’t be that easy. (She stops hiding behind him)

Lucky: yup.

Ollie: so do you mean to all I I have to say is stop and they will just stop.

Lucky: yes.

Ollie: ok, stop.

A green light goes over them….

They stop and stare at her and do nothing.

She goes in front of them and waves her hand and makes faces at them.
Ollie: hello…they aren’t even blinking…

They dont blink.

ollie: bleeh.

Ollie: hehehehe…interesting…

She jumps on the counter and tells them to do the chicken dance

Ollie: do the chicken dance…

They do dances… she laughs…
Ollie: lucky, this is too fun!

Lucky: snoring


Ollie: interesting. ooh, I have an idea. (she gets the alien headband and buys it and says) Lucky, you said you bought too many alien headbands. Follow me everyone.… buy an alien headband, wear it.

They all buy it.

Lucky: ooooh yay, customers! wow, thank’s ollie.

Ollie: ssays on the intercom, Thankyou for shoopping at Lucky’s Abracapothecary, please come again..but tomorrow.


The hypnotized people: we will come again tomorrow, ollie…
Lucky: ( he is working at the cash register)

Zooms out of the store
(Conclusion)



Ollie: And ever since then…I started working at Lucky’s store and learning about the amazing magical items and we became friends.

Both: Yay we’ are friends now!

Ollie: and I eventually also found friends at school, without using any popular potions.


Ollie: I was so busy thinking about making friends until I stopped focusing on it, it allowed it to just happen naturally.

Lucky: I realized that he just needed some help from my new HOOMAN friend. Together, we both learn about each other’s planets and we both test out all the magical items at my store.


Ollie: …(goes on the intercom) “thanks for shopping at Lucky’s apothecary, please come again.”

Both: Laugh
Lucky: yay, I can make my parents proud!
