Story Summary:
After accidentally eating an apple seed, Rian starts growing his own fruit-bearing branches. What at first seems like an odd predicament is soon seen as a gift, especially by his parents, who want nothing more than to see Rian cultivate his branches and prosper from it. Rian's situation, however, quickly turns grim, as he starts to realize his branches have become more important to his parents than him.
~ In this image, I tried to depict Rian's longing to be "normal" again. Before developing this gift, Rian loved to play outside. Now, his parents don't like him to go outside very often, as they fear he might damage his branches.
