Here's a brief description of the story; If you've been following you'll know my character K is a thief. He's not a violent criminal, he doesn't steal someone's pay check but he does steal. Mostly from wealthy groups and enjoys the perks.
In act 2 K meets his future wife and they have children. He's still a thief but also a dad now. With that comes parenting responsibilities and stealing becomes harder thanks to technology. Everyone and everywhere has cameras, or lasers and even DNA is in the picture.
K has managed to find his father, remember K is an orphan who was separated form his family at a very young age. He finds his father but not the rest of his family. His father's in prison, he's got about 5 years left on his sentence. on one of his visits his father (who hasn't shared much info with K) tells his son he just found out that his wife (K's mother) passed away a few weeks ago. He tells K that he should track down his brother, he's heard rumours he's probably still in Midtown.
K is saddened by this news.
K's at the park with his son, doing dad stuff and still being a thief as a way of making a living. He receives a mysterious not from MRE. They've been watching him and want to offer him a job. K pays MRE a visit and takes the job. MRE tells him they'll provide him with everything he needs, identity, insurance, protection and an experienced crew! K's not interested in violent crime or risking his life and MRE assures him he's safe with them.
K and his crew have completed multiple successful jobs and he's able to spend quality time with his family.
One night while out with his crew Red (R) tells K that the only people working at MRE that aren't employed by the company are the sanitation crew. MRE's too busy to to hire them full time.
Years go by and MRE is now pestering K. They now summon him more often and at the weirdest times. Some jobs are also getting to be a little too risky.
Until one night he's called in with his crew to do a specific heist job. Watch the video and you'll understand.
