Once upon a time, there was a professional dog trainer named Charlie who adored dogs of every shape and size. Charlie has volunteered at dog shelters, won many dog shows with her own rescues, and even once had her own show about dog training.

Meanwhile in another world filled with magic cats, a cat witch named Catilda is told she’d be executed if she can’t complete a spell to save their kingdom.

One fateful day, Charlie was getting ready to run for her biggest dog show yet with a prize big enough to launch and support her own dog shelter to help out many strays in her area.

However, on her way to the dog show, she displays her disdain for cats as she passes by some stray cats in an alleyway fighting with a stray dog. As she helps out the dog, she makes it clear she hates cats and loves dogs much more.

As she is about to perform for the dog show, she abruptly disappears and is teleported into a magical world full of cats, much to her dismay.

Turns out, a cat witch named Catilda had summoned her in order to help them peacefully reconnect with their neighboring kingdom full of dogs and settle an ongoing war so they can live in harmony.

She begrudgingly agrees so she can get teleported back home in time for the dog show.

Because of that, Charlie has to go to the dog kingdom with Catilda so they can negotiate a compromise between the kingdoms. They prepare their travels by packing food, water, weapons, and other materials from the local marketplace. After that, they head off, traveling down the road towards the kingdom.

Because of that, they run into bandits and must work together despite their differences. As Catilda and Charlie are cornered by the bandits, Catilda almost ditches her, but has a change of heart and saves her instead. They bond a bit over saving each other and defeating the bandits.

Because of that, they continue their travels getting to know each other. Charlie learns about Catilda’s troubled past with dogs. They both fall asleep under the stars, having a warm moment together with their newfound unlikely friendship.

Until finally Charlie and Catilda reach the dog kingdom and are brought to the dog queen. They learn that both of the royals are fighting over a silly treasure and inaccurate stereotypes against each other. The girls convince the queen to meet with the king to settle the debate and teach them that their differences aren’t so bad. The kingdoms call off their war.

And ever since then, Charlie gained a newfound love for cats due to Catilda’s influence. Charlie teleports back home and wins the dog show. Charlie meets back with the stray cats she saw in the alleyway, turns out they were just scared and lost. Charlie wins the dog show and uses the money to open a shelter for both dogs and cats.
