This is about my vampire deity character Denver and a slightly different take on his actual, canonical story. He's a Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt but not everyone likes the fact he's a vampire from outer space! Sit back and listen to my super soft voice or read along with the transcript in case my voice is too soft for you XD

1. Once upon a time…
...there was a deity in outer space, he was a vampire deity named Denverley.
Minor Beat 1:
He was born from a supernova, living first inside a star cluster and learning about himself and what he was to do.
Minor Beat 2:
He was a very beautiful being, and very powerful; the most powerful deity in existence.

2. Every day…
...he traveled the cosmos among other celestial beings, keeping the galaxies in order. Eventually, Denverley came across the Milky Way Galaxy, and sensed a tiny speck of life inside it. He took it upon himself to protect this tiny star cluster, having never found any other life in the universe aside from the other deities. He protected it from everything, space debris and malevolent beings.
Minor Beat 1:
Other deities and celestial beings feared him for his power was the greatest, and anyone who dared to challenge him or take the galaxy he was protecting, was met with demise.
Minor Beat 2:
Denverley rid the universe of deities who turned malevolent due to his protection over the Milky Way.

3. Until one day…
...Denverley wondered what was inside this tiny star cluster and what was the life he was protecting.

“What is that life force in there? What am I even protecting?

However, he was far too powerful to visit the tiny life speck, even making himself the proper size to visit wouldn't decrease his power. But, decreasing his power would render Denverley to be unable to return to his full form, as returning to a power that great would need help from another power that was equal. So, Denverley made the life-changing decision to decrease his power to come visit the tiny speck of life, not knowing where he was ending up, but knowing he could never return.
Minor Beat 1:
He dropped the 'ley' part of his name, as he had dropped the most powerful part of himself and felt like he should also let go of part of his identity.
Minor Beat 2:
Now going by just ‘Denver’, he kept all his vampire powers and abilities, but lost most of his deity powers and abilities.

“Let’s go find out!”

ACT TWO
4. Because of that…
...Denver ended up on Earth, during the Ancient Egypt time era before it had established a leader.

He learned about life on Earth and humans, and he taught them who he was and about outer space.
“Knowledge is awesome!”

Minor Beat:
He became the first Pharaoh of Upper and Lower Egypt due to his power and obvious “superiority” over mortals.

5. Because of that...
...not all his people liked him because they learned he was a vampire, which was a monster, and the fact he wasn’t even from Earth, but yet he was quickly seen as a leader.
Minor Beat 1:
Some people were fearful their Pharaoh would attack and suck their blood, while some were angry to have a monster from outer space as their leader and said awful things about Denver.
“I bet our Pharaoh is here just to suck our blood…he is a monster after all.”

Minor Beat 2:
False rumors ended up spreading that Denver only came to Earth to find new prey to drink blood from, and he fooled the people of Egypt into thinking he was good.

6. Because of that…
...Denver began having bad thoughts about who he really was. He was always kind to everyone and thought only a good heart mattered, not who you physically were.
Minor Beat 1:
He tried to change who he was in order to be accepted by everyone, by never using his powers and hiding his fangs by not talking.
Minor Beat 2:
Denver became confused if he was bad or not and started falling down a terrible path of self-depreciation.

ACT THREE
7. Until finally...
...Denver thought it would be best to disappear. He clearly saw he wasn’t wanted by many people, even though plenty of them wanted him around, he felt bad staying because of the ones who did not like him. And so, he left without a word. The people who didn’t like Denver were glad and relieved the “monster king” was gone, despite the fact the “monster king” had never done a thing wrong and always tried to be liked.

“Good riddance!”
“Technically he didn’t do anything, but I wasn’t waiting for him to attack us.”

For the ones who liked him, they were scared of not having a leader to know what to do in case of an invasion.

“WHAT IF WE GET ATTACKED!?”

These fears came true when Egypt was invaded by a formidable army and the newly-elected Pharaoh had no idea what to do.
Minor Beat 1:
For once, the people that were against Denver were wishing he was around when the invasion happened.

“We shouldn’t have chased off King Denver!”
“YOU THINK?!”

Many were slain and injured but Egypt’s army was strong enough to fight. However without Denver to help, warriors fell in exhaustion. The situation was getting dire…and well, the new Pharaoh was as useful as a pile of dirt.
Minor Beat 2:
Sounds of the war reached Denver’s ears, who came rushing back. He had no regard anymore for people fearing him; all he saw was his kingdom being overrun and innocent lives in danger, so he lept into action. His vampiric powers proved their might as Denver came in and fought alongside his army, protecting his people, and flying the injured to safe places.

“OUR KING RETURNED!!!”

8. And ever since then...
...the people of Egypt were in great debt to their former Pharaoh, crowned king once again. Denver saved the lands and people from the invasion, and made a firm statement that he would never leave them again. He was extremely respected and no one was quick to jump to conclusions about someone just because they were different.
Minor Beat 1:
The people who once hated their “monster king” came to realize how foolish they were and how much Denver truly cares for his people. But Denver held no disdain toward them and forgave them.

“Forgive us our king, we were fools to doubt you!”
“It’s okay, everyone is forgiven.”
“huh”
“...but we were so horrible to you…”

Minor Beat 2:
It was from this event that humans learned ‘not to judge a book by its cover’. It was learned that being different doesn’t make someone bad, the only thing that truly matters is where their heart lies.
