This is the story of Manny, an immigrant from Europe who lives in America.

Every morning he gets in the same coffee shop.


Manny
Good morning, Meryl

Meryl
This is not your P.O. Box you know?

Manny
Oh, great! Thanks.


And after a quick breakfast he goes to work.


Meryl
That guy is so nostalgic all the time

Old man
That guy would be back at his country if it wasn’t because he needs the money


Every morning is the same to Manny when he gets to work.

And after a long day he gets home and… (neighbors voices in the background).

But Manny don’t care about his neighbors fighting because he is about to take a journey.

“Dear brother, Manny:
The whole Family miss you a lot, I can’t believe it’s been years since you left.
In America everything most be so different. Do. You ever go to the beach? I dream of watching it with my own eyes.
Do you remember that carpentry I told you we were saving money for?
Well, you may find a little surprise eat the end of this let..” (Alarm ringing).


And then as every morning, Manny comes back to the coffee shop.


Manny
Good morning, Meryl

Meryl
Good mo… Oh my! You should take a day off or something

Manny
Oh my god, it’s so late!

Manny didn´t know but that day a surprise was waiting for him.

Manny
A day off? I never had a day off in entire my life!

Manny didn’t know what to do with his free time. He never had a Holliday in his life.
So he did the only thing he knows, to read his brothers letter.

Manny
No, no, no! Come back here! Come back here!

So Manny ran and ran and ran after that letter.

Meryl
Au!

Manny
Are you ok?

Meryl
Manny? It´s me Meryl, from the coffee shop

Manny
How come?

Meryl
I come here all the time to take pictures, but you?

Meryl
Anyway… I guess this is yours

Oh my god, come with me!

Meryl
Mmm… where should we start?

Manny
I don´t know, actually is my first time here

Meryl
What? Then you need to get a souvenir first
Just put your head in there and smile

Photographer
Here´s your picture, now get out of here!

Meryl
Over there!
No, over there!

Manny
I´m never gonna get that letter back

Meryl
We gotta get up there to have a full view of the pier

Manny
What? Not happening!

Meryl
Come on!


And suddenly some new thoughts started to shape inside Manny´s head.
Maybe this place isn’t that bad after all, just look how gorgeous everything looks from here.


Manny
Meryl, You know what? This is the best day ever

Meryl
Manny, why do you carry that suitcase with you all the time?

Manny
I´ll show you
This is where I carry home
This are all the pictures and letters from my family since I came to America

Meryl
Maybe should start putting in some new memories


Anyway, I believe Manny was really happy after all.
Oh, yeah! His brother´s letter.

“Dear brother, Manny:
Like I was telling you before you stopped reading the letter
We bought this carpentry I was telling you about
And guess what? Here’s your ticket to get back home!”

Hello Benny, it’s me Manny

Hey, everybody! Manny it’s here!

What else we can tell about this story? Well, yeah… his family is happy, Manny is happy, everyone is happy!
I mean, he finally came back home, but just for Hollidays, because his life is now in America.
