1. Once upon a time there was a lonely Lolli-pop named Bitter, who lived in a candy store. The owner created all confections lovingly using his own equipment. When Bitter was created, there was a malfunction in the machine which caused their head shape to be odd and their colors to blend together. Bitter is thus insecure, but none the less convinced, in their mind, that they are the best candy in the universe.*

2. Every day Bitter would move from their usual spot near the register, to sit on the candy shelves near the more popular candy. They would stare expectantly at the boys and girls with their parents, patiently waiting to be purchased. Bitter would watch kids and adults stare at all of the colorful candy with desire, until their eyes landed on them and immediately turn their faces away not interested in Bitter at all. This destroyed Bitter's hopes of being purchased over and over.

3. Until one day a healthy grocery store opened next to the candy store, and Bitter saw flocks of people heading inside and coming out with huge canvas bags full of products. More than he had ever seen bought at one time in the candy store. "What was so great about organic products? I could be better than them!"

4. Because of that secretly at night Bitter would sneak out and wander the grocery store wanting to discover what vegetables really are and why they were so popular.

5. Because of that they befriended a stem of broccoli named Broko Lee who explained the health benefits of eating vegetables. That explained why people were shopping much more at the health grocery store instead of the candy store. That gave Bitter the idea to create a veggie costume.

6. Because of that Bitter created a broccoli costume and showed their new look to the rest of the candies in the store. Bitter tried to recruit other candies to wear vegetable costumes just like the vegetables at the grocery store, all so that they can be purchased more. Some agreed and made their own costumes but most thought that the idea was crazy and said no.

The next day when the candy store opened, the owner was shocked to see the shelves half veggies and half candy. But it was too late to fix things because the store was already open. That day there wasn't a single sale, and all the other candies blamed Bitter.

Tired and frustrated, at the end of the day the owner closed the store and left all the candy/veggie there.

7. Until finally the rest of the candies became so angry with the loss of sales that they took out their frustration on Bitter. A group of candies pushed Bitter off the shelf and upon impact Bitter's head shattered into pieces. Living them broken on the floor of the store all night.

The next morning the owner found Bitter shattered on the floor and rush to help them, the owner was so sad to find Bitter like that because Bitter was his favorite piece of candy in the whole store, because they are so unique. The owner gathered all the pieces and painstakingly took the time to put Bitter back together. Then the owner made a special display next to the register to showcase Bitter.

8. And ever since then Bitter realized that they were loved and appreciated even though they were never purchased. Bitter also learned that it's up to us to accept who we are and make the most out of our circumstances.
