ACT I
ONCE UPON A TIME:
In the icy waters of the Arctic Ocean, there lived a "Narluga", a hybrid whale called Belle. She had a tiny little tusk because her father was a narwhale, and a sweet little face because her mother, was a beluga.
MINOR BEAT:
Her father would say, "Go play with your friends, Belle, but don't stray too far north into dangerous waters where polar bears, and orcas and human predators are lurking."
MINOR BEAT:
Her mother always said, "Remember, Belle, you are special. One day you'll realize how magical you truly are. You're "The Unicorn of the Sea!"

EVERY DAY:
Belle would swim and play with the pod of belugas and the blessing of narwhales.
MINOR BEAT:
And each day she noticed her tusk was growing a little bit longer.
MINOR BEAT:
As she looked around at the others, she began to wonder...
"Am I a beluga or a narwhale?"

UNTIL ONE DAY:
The belugas began making fun of her funny little tusk.
MINOR BEAT:
Some were afraid because she was different. The male narwhales were jealous of her beautiful spiral tusk. "Only males have tusks," they'd say. So, Belle began to wonder, "If I have a tusk, am I a boy?"
MINOR BEAT:
Belle was so confused and heart-broken, she swam far, far away and before she realized it, she had entered the dangerous waters her father had warned her about.
Just then, she saw a huge killer whale swimming towards her.

ACT II

BECAUSE OF THAT:
Belle dove deep beneath a glacier through a narrow ice crevice where the whale was too big to track her.
MINOR BEAT:
But when she surfaced on the other side, a polar bear leaped at her with its sharp claws.
MINOR BEAT:
She barely escaped the bear’s grasp, when a poacher in a diving suit spotted her and began chasing her with a huge hunting knife.
MINOR BEAT:

BECAUSE OF THAT:
She swam into an ice cave to hide, but the poacher was right behind her.
MINOR BEAT:
Belle was trapped, so she swung her tusk at him…
MINOR BEAT:
And as the point scraped across the wall, a sheet of ice slid down…
MINOR BEAT:
Revealing a mirror beneath the surface!

BECAUSE OF THAT:
Belle saw her own reflection in the mirror.
MINOR BEAT:
And was surprised she looked just like… A beautiful brave Unicorn!
MINOR BEAT:
The poacher raised his knife to cut off her tusk, but when he saw his own reflection in the icy mirror…
MINOR BEAT:
He looked like a horrible monster and swam away in terror!

ACT III

UNTIL FINALLY:
When Belle’s tusk began to glow with a magical colored light…
MINOR BEAT:
She was so amazed and happy to be alive, she hurried home to her parents.
MINOR BEAT:
And to her friends, who were amazed to see her magical tusk.

AND EVER SINCE THEN:
They wanted to hear all about her adventures and invited her to play with them again.
MINOR BEAT:
Belle realized that even though she looked different than the others, now she knew her true self.
MINOR BEAT:
She was a proud, beautiful “Unicorn of the Sea”!
