Once upon a time, there was a boy named Ruben. Every day he would go to school and enjoy his popularity and exceedingly good grades but when he came back home he was ignored by his father. It seemed to Ruben that his father's only preoccupation was money and he didn't care about Ruben. He leaned on Rubix cubes as a pillar of support that kept him going. Until one day at school when moving Rubix cubes causes magic. Everyone in the school could make magical things happen by moving Rubix cubes, except Ruben. Because of that Ruben gets frustrated. He tries his hardest to mimic the other students and watches online videos but he still can’t make magic. He begins to feel his popularity slip away. He is made fun of and begins to become very angry. Until finally one day when he comes back from school he sees his dad looking at money. Enraged, he blows up at his dad pouring out all of his frustration and anger. As his dad slowly turns around Ruben realizes that his dad has not been intentionally ignoring Ruben but is trying to manage under the stress of taxes. He feels bad that he has been so harsh on his dad and sets his Rubix cube aside and embraces his dad. He doesn’t need his Rubix cube anymore. The next day when he goes to school he finds out that everybody else’s Rubix cubes don’t make magic. But his moment has passed and he isn’t popular anymore. But even though nobody hangs out with him, as he stares at his A+ work he finally feels happy.
