When a young girl and her parent visit the shops at Christmas time, a cherished toy bear is accidentally left behind. A mischievous dog takes the toy away before the parent and child return to retrieve it. When the toy bear is then abandoned at the door of a Christmas shop hosting Santa and his elves, an elf picks up the toy. He takes it to the elves’ workshop and repairs a ripped arm, and then develops a special bond with the bear, keeping it close at all times. On Christmas Eve, while travelling with Santa to deliver Christmas presents to children, the elf discovers who the bear belonged to. He is faced with a difficult decision, and chooses to leave the toy bear with the sleeping child, before leaving in the sleigh with Santa.
