Zulu the turtle hero
Once upon a time There used to be an island abandoned with lush green flora and fauna surrounded by crystal clear water, i.e. the turtles treasure trove in the ocean world. The turtles were as happy as they could be, as it was their pristine places that the turtle could be in. Amidst, the serene life the turtles where living.
In that island there use to live a turtle his name was Zulu. Zulu was very lovable turtle, he uses to go around the island to eat swim & sleep, and he was his living his life to the fullest.
Zulu also had two friends Tintu & Nintu. Both the friends where like brothers of Zulu. Three of them enjoyed best of life in the island. They take care of elders and also respects them. And always follow the law of the island which has been made the head of the island’s turtle community who’s name was Thunder.
Zulu also had a crush in the island her name was Casua. Casua was beautiful turtle but little bit stupid girl why Zulu had crush on her is only known to Zulu only. Zulu and Casua where friends but Zulu never got courage to tell her about his feelings. What so ever this was a happy turtle community.
Until one day where the first signs of objects aliened to the lives on the island started surfacing and gradually these objects started to infest the island and the life there in. Unfortunately, these where the discards of the most intelligent and evolved life on earth called human beings. The stench and filth started to get unbearable, and slowly this heaven on earth became the place that no one would dread to step in. This island, which these turtles called home became a place of living hell, as the turtles living there where falling ill, but the love for their home prevented them from leaving there very own place. And it was the Thunder who told everyone in the island that as the island they were living is the place they are living there for generations so no one leaves the island where they live and die.
But Zulu was little bit different from other turtles, because his thinking was different as he knew that these ocean trash which is being deposited in the island is not good for him and all his fellow turtles. So he went to talk to Thunder with a suggestion that due this ocean garbage they and their turtles are going to be extinct, if this garbage problem is not taken seriously but the head of the turtles didn’t took him seriously. But Zulu was stubborn, he decided to find a solution to this garbage problem so he went to different turtles and expressed them about this problem but they didn’t understand the seriousness instead made fun of him.
So, one day he decides to Leave the island secretly, when the whole island was in deep sleep Zulu packed his bag left the island sad heartedly and leaving all the loved ones behind it was most difficult for him to leave his crush behind also. But one thing it was in his mind that it was essential for his loved one’s future.
Because of that Zulu left the island, as soon as he leaves the boundaries of the island territory, he saw big floating objects which he has never seen in his whole life, this was the first time he came in contact with the outer world these big floating objects where none other than ships.
He was finding it difficult to swim around these big floating objects as they were moving fast and there where sharp blade like structures revolving round and round, he saw these which were moving these large floating structures, in human world these were called ship propellers.
He suddenly saw the water color changing and a smell is coming, then he saw this water is getting dense he realized that this is something not good because of that he immediately swam away from that. It was crude oil leaking from the ship.
He further swam where he saw land, he wanted to take rest as he was swimming for a long time as soon as he got close to the land, he saw the big coconut tree these trees were much bigger than the coconut tree that he saw in the turtle island. But he couldn’t understand that why these coconut trees are giving out black clouds. In human world it was factories and the long coconut tree where none other than long chimineas emitting smoke, he even finds difficulty in breathing. Because of that he left that place.
Then he swam for another few days then he came across another land or beach as he was getting closer to the beach he was experiencing that he was getting closer to finding his new home and this land was not polluted as the other places as he have experienced before but as he was getting closer to the land he saw some creatures who were looking like small moving things with two flipper and they had two flippers above and two flippers below he got excited as it was the first time he was not experiencing any problem while finding a new home for him and his turtle friends. As he got closer to the land or beach, he saw that they were something different creatures who were moving dancing eating and having fun like he and his friends use to do in the island. Actually, these creatures where none other than then human beings. Zulu thought that it must be these creatures island so he thought of making friendship with these creatures when he touched the land. Then he saw these creatures were running towards him, he was very happy he thought they were welcoming him. He saw that these creatures are good and friendly where he and his community can stay with them. He got very excited that he had found a new home. As he was swimming for a long time and he slept. Soon sun sets down.
Zulu was in a deep sleep suddenly he woke up after he heard a large bang, he was shocked to hear that sound and it got louder and louder. The sound was none other than a DJ was playing music. Because of that Zulu decided to leave this place also. He couldn’t find new home here also.
Exhausted disheartened he gave up he didn’t know what to do he started crying and started blaming him what a fool he is that he didn’t listen to anyone and his arrogance had brought him to a situation where he has no other option then going back home. When he was turning back for home, he saw winds suddenly started gushing fearful and the dark clouds all over the sea, Zulu never experienced such heavy winds before soon he realized he has caught up in a bad situation. Zulu was caught in a storm he was so much stuck in the storm that he couldn’t swim in those currents he was about to drown. Like from nowhere a creature came and took Zulu out of the storm.
Zulu was unconscious and when Zulu opened his eyes he found himself in an island, slowly he was getting up, he saw the island was as beautiful as his home island that he uses to live and finally Zulu found a new home for him and his turtle community. As he was about to leave, he saw a white creature that was swimming around him, Zulu came close to thank him and that white creature was a Beluga Whale and his name was Buzu. And after a long time, Zulu was not alone he got a friend.
Zulu and Buzu went to the Zulu’s home island and their Zulu went to meet Thunder and told him that he found solution for this ocean trash that they should move to a new island that he has found. Thunder looks at Zulu and hugged him and announced that he is sorry for his arrogance and he should have listened to Zulu what should have been done by him (Thunder) has been done by Zulu. And as soon as entire turtle community reaches the new island Zulu would be the new chief of the turtle community. And all the turtles left towards the new island.
