Jericho is a messenger angel in training. They are impatient and want to get their first mission so they can finally prove that they are ready to graduate to official status. Eventually, they are summoned by God to deliver a message to the people of Earth. They go to a populated city and attempt to get people's attention, but due to the clouds and noise of the city, no one pays them any mind. They become more intense to get people to listen, but this backfires and scares people enough to where the government shows up to capture Jericho. Jericho is confused as to why the humans are acting this way and breaks free because they want to finish their mission and they can't do so while isolated. After breaking free, Jericho is chased by the government and runs away to hide, afraid. While hiding, they are greeted by a young girl who gives them back the scroll that they dropped. Jericho realizes that not all humans are out to get them and that if they just try to show the other humans that they are not a threat, they might listen. Jericho explains why they are here to the crowd and finally delivers the message, which states that God wants to reconnect with humanity and that he knew Jericho would be successful even though the mission was hard. Immediately after finishing reading the scroll, Jericho is whisked back to heaven and congratulated on finishing their mission. Jericho seems upset, and when asked why, they state that they want to go back to Earth. They realized that humans and angels don't know anything about each other and if God really wants to reconnect with them, they should get to know each other better. Jericho wants to stay on Earth and help both the humans and angels have a better relationship.
In the future, Jericho comes to visit heaven and give a message to God. They have been living on Earth with the humans and are reporting that things have been going well. God says he is proud of Jericho and that it must have been a hard decision for Jericho to give up their dream job in order to help the humans. Jericho simply replies that they didn't give up their dream, they just found a better one.
